Hey readers, it's Gabby. I haven't been on here for a while as this school is coming to an end. There is so much stuff that needs to be done, and not enough time to complete it. With projects and tests, it can really add stress to your day. But I am making it through and aiming to finish strong, even though coming to school is becoming much harder than it used to be. I am excited to be graduating from school in less than 3 weeks I believe. That’s when I begin my time as a real adult, and make real adult decisions. Enough about an update on my life, let's talk about this blog post. Today I was assigned to compare the book that we are currently reading in class, Night, and the book that I am reading as my choice reading book. I don’t honestly remember the name of the book, but I do know what it is about. Night is a book that talks about the holocaust that happened in Europe. The author is a holocaust survivor that was able to live to tell the tale. Though no one knows why he was chosen to be saved, it is great that he is able to talk his experiences. They weren't happy experiences but it did help his readers understand what he went through. There are a lot of differences between these two books. The book that I am reading as my choice reading book, we'll call it Unknown, is about a tale of fantasy. This book is not compared to Night, as Night is based on real life events and Unknown is pure imagination. To be honest, I prefer reading Night over Unknown because I am not such a big fan of fantasy books. I have read the book Night my freshman year of high school when I used to go to Grand River Preparatory High School, new fact about me I didn’t like the school at all so that’s why I am here. But I am glad that I am re-reading the book because I do not remember what I had read as it was years ago. I do remember that it was a good book and if you are like me, you like the scenes that the authors talk about because it is hard to not remember them. I like the scene when Moishe was trying to warn the people about the camps that they had and no one wanted to listen to him. I think they didn’t because they were afraid that he may have been right, even though later on in the book he was. This is most memorable because there are moments like that in our time today that people do not want to listen to the things that they need to hear.
